As a Chicago barn wedding photographer, I loved photographing Nikki and Alex’s summer wedding at Emerson Creek Pottery and Tea Room in Oswego.
When we first arrived at Emerson Creek, it was pouring. But once Nikki put on her wedding dress, just like that the rain cleared up.
Nikki and Alex exchanged letters with each other on their wedding day. It was such a special moment, and I loved seeing both of their reactions in the photos. Alex even wrote a letter to Nikki from their adorable dog, Frankie.
Nikki and Alex’s first look was another favorite moment of mine from their wedding day. It was so sweet seeing Alex’s reaction, and it was such a heartfelt and intimate moment between the two of them.
Nikki and Alex have caring personalities and really made their day about having fun with each other, and all of their friends and family that were there to celebrate with them.
This was my first time photographing an outdoor ceremony at Emerson Creek since the weather finally cooperated. Emerson Creek is such a beautiful venue – both the barn and outside are great options for ceremonies.
The details and decor at Nikki and Alex’s wedding were amazing. I wanted to make sure I mentioned the vendors, because they did such a great job! Venue: Emerson Creek Pottery & Tearoom | Stylist: Molly (Emerson Creek) | Florist: MC & Co | DJ: Music By Design | Sweets: EC Confectionary | Catering: My Chef
I loved how Nikki and Alex entered their reception. They have the sweetest dog, Frankie, and made their grand entrance with a photo cardboard cutout of him 🙂
Nikki and Alex, thank you so much for having me capture this special moment in your lives. I’m looking forward to capturing more memories for you in the future.
