As an Onion Pub wedding photographer, I enjoyed capturing Lisa and Craig’s wedding at a brewery in Lake Barrington. Lisa and Craig enjoy craft beer and they wanted their wedding day and venue to reflect that. Onion Pub and Brewery in Lake Barrington was the perfect choice for them.

Lisa and Craig did a first look on their wedding day. This was one of my all time favorite first looks to capture. Lisa and Craig are such an adorable couple, and I love how they forgot I was there, and were in the moment.Onion Pub and Brewery is a place that my husband John and I go to frequently for date night. When I found out that I would be photographing Lisa and Craig’s wedding there, I was excited. Not only does this venue have great food (and of course beer), but it is such a pretty and unique venue.

I’m always honored when a couple chooses me to photograph their wedding, but I was even more so honored when Lisa reached out to me since she’s a photographer herself. Seriously, her and Craig are such an amazing couple, and they made the day even more fun to photograph by putting their trust in me and my vision to capture their day.

One of the things I love about this wedding is that Lisa and Craig personalized it to make sure it reflected them as a couple. Instead of doing a traditional unity sand ceremony, these two combined their favorite beers into one glass, and then they each took a drink of it. Such a good idea!

Craig even took his glass of beer down the aisle with him. Now this is definitely my kind of wedding! 🙂
