I arrived at North Avenue Beach in Chicago on a chilly Saturday in November. It was quite the process getting there 😅 My Uber driver got lost, and I ended up walking the rest of the way. It was totally worth it though to capture this North Avenue Beach proposal for an incredibly sweet couple that was in town for the weekend from Minnesota.
After taking an architecture boat tour around the city, Isaac and Kristine headed to North Avenue Beach to take in the Chicago skyline.
On their walk, Isaac bent down to retrieve the ring box out of a hidden compartment in his socks. He then got down on one knee, and asked Kristine to marry him. After the proposal, he showed off his socks which said, “MARRY ME?” How cute and creative is this North Avenue Beach proposal!
Isaac and Kristine were so excited and in the moment, which made taking photos of the two of them even more fun. They also happen to be Packer fans as well, so let’s just say we hit it off 😉
After the proposal, I took a few more photos of Isaac and Kristine together at North Avenue Beach, and then we walked across the street to Lincoln Park’s South Pond. This is one of my favorite spots in the city, because it combines both a natural landscape with those amazing Chicago skyline views.
The photo below is one of my favorites from the day. I love how it shows how excited and happy these two are about their engagement.
Isaac and Kristine, thanks for having me capture this special moment in your lives. I loved photographing your proposal, and congratulations on your engagement!
