When Vince first told me about his plans to propose to Alexis at the covered bridge at the Naperville Riverwalk, I was excited. As a Naperville surprise proposal photographer, I enjoyed capturing this special moment for Vince and Alexis.Vince did a great job planning his proposal. He made sure to plan it for a weekday, because he figured that Alexis wouldn’t suspect anything. Alexis thought they were going out for dinner at 7:30. Vince really made the dinner reservation for 8:30 with plans to take a stroll with Alexis at the Naperville Riverwalk, and propose to her on the bridge.
As a few minutes passed, I started to wonder. “Are they here? I didn’t miss them did I?” It turns out that Vince was stalling, and waiting for quiet moment on the bridge to propose. It was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. As he walked across the bridge with Alexis, he paused.
Vince got down on one knee to propose, and you can definitely tell just how surprised Alexis was. Both of them got a little bit emotional, and it was such a heartfelt moment. After the proposal, we walked around the Naperville Riverwalk for photos. I always recommend taking a few minutes for photos after a proposal. You are excited and in the moment, which makes the photos that much more meaningful.
Vince and Alexis, thanks for having me capture this special moment in your lives. Congratulations on your engagement!
