As a Hoffman Estates baby photographer, I enjoyed getting the chance to photograph Eleni. This photo session took place at Cantigny Park in Wheaton. It’s a beautiful location, but it looks even better about an hour before sunset. You’ll ofter hear photographers refer to it as the “golden hour.” This is one of the best times of the day for photos.

The first year of your little one’s life will go by quickly. I recommend booking a session for your baby at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months to capture all the important milestones.

Eleni has such a sweet personality. She was a little shy in front of the camera, but loved being nearby her mommy and daddy.

I was blowing rasberries at Eleni in hopes that it would make her laugh. Instead, this is what she did. The photo below brings a smile to my face.

The unplanned moments from a photo session are my favorite. These moments also usually turn out to make the best photos.

This antique rocking chair is one of my favorite props to bring to sessions. It’s the perfect size for 1 and 2 year olds. It also has sentimental value to me. It was my mom’s growing up, and then she gave it to me.

I am in love with Eleni’s red shoes. Like her, they are absolutely adorable.

One of my favorite moments from this session was the cake smash. Eleni was a little timid at first, but all of the sudden, she dived into the cake 🙂 I loved capturing her different facial expressions as she was eating the cake.
