Planning and decorating for my sister’s country chic picnic bridal shower was so much fun.

I found picnic baskets online that I thought would look great as centerpieces, and they also fit the country chic picnic bridal shower theme perfectly. My mom planted some flowers in the baskets, and then lined the top with moss. Using potted flowers was a more cost-effective option as opposed to fresh flowers, and I love how they turned out.

The clubhouse where the bridal shower took place has a mantle over the fireplace. I framed a photo of my sister and her fiance and placed it on the mantle. I also found an adorable banner on Etsy which was custom made to say, “Soon to be Mrs. Knapp.”

A last minute decoration that I found were the antique shutters. I stopped by an antique store in Winfield the night before the bridal shower. The shutters worked out great for placing photos from my sister’s engagement session on them with doilies. I used the other shutter as a place where guests could leave advice for my sister, which they wrote on doilies.

Sugar Monkey Cupcakes in Naperville did an amazing job on my sister’s bridal shower cake. I highly recommend their bakery if you are looking for a custom cake or cupcakes for a special event. The way they decorated the cake fit the country chic picnic bridal shower theme.

My sister’s best friend Ashley, and I spent a lot of time working on favors for the bridal shower. Each of jars has sugar scrub in it.

At the bridal shower, my sister and her fiance played the “Shoe Game.” This is where the couple is asked a series of questions, and they raise a shoe for whoever they think is the answer to the question. To fit the country theme, the couple use cowboy and cowgirl boots.
