As a Chicago courthouse wedding photographer, I enjoyed photographing Jess and Dan’s special day. One of the things I love about courthouse weddings is that it really makes the couple’s day laid back and simple so that they can relax and celebrate the love they have for each other.
Jess and Dan invited some of their family to the ceremony at the Cook County Courthouse in Chicago. It’s a small room, but everyone managed to fit in. I thought it was special that Jess and Dan had their family present.
The judge for the ceremony is one of the best I have seen at a courthouse wedding. He said some beautiful words, and really made the ceremony personalized for Jess and Dan. The ceremony was so heartfelt, that many in the room were tearing up.
After the ceremony, I headed over to the Art Institute garden with Jess and Dan. You can tell in these photos how happy and in love they are with each other.
One of my favorite parts of this garden is all of the vines. It really makes this a beautiful spot in Chicago for wedding photos.
The photo below is definitely one of my favorites from Jess and Dan’s wedding day.
After photos, the couple went to Quartino for lunch to meet up with their family. Later that evening, they had a reception at The Bedford in Wicker Park with their family and friends.
This 1920’s historic landmark venue was formally a bank, and has a unique atmosphere. The former bank vault was the perfect spot for Jess and Dan to celebrate with their family and friends.
Jess and Dan, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your special and intimate wedding day.
