It was drizzling off and on throughout their Nashville engagement photography session, but Alexandra and Grant didn’t mind one bit. I’m so glad they brought their bulldog, Maggie Joyce. She seriously has the cutest facial expressions and personality.
Maggie Joyce is also going to be a part of their wedding day so it only made sense to have her in their Nashville engagement photos as well. I love how being a Nashville wedding and engagement photographer gives me the opportunity to meet your fur babies.
Alexandra and Grant met on Tinder during her sophomore year at the University of Iowa and his freshman year at St. Ambrose University. They lived 45 minutes apart and most likely wouldn’t have met if they hadn’t extended their miles on the dating app. They have been together for 9 years now.
Alexandra and Grant love spending time together whether it’s walking Maggie Joyce, coffee dates, hiking at national parks, going to church, watching a movie, concerts, or listening to records. They would describe themselves as outdoorsy and adventurous. For their Nashville engagement photography session, we made sure to choose a location that reflected that.
For their first date, Grant bought pizza and Alexandra convinced him to watch She’s the Man. They’ve been together ever since. They love exploring and finding new places to eat whether it’s out of state or at home.
One of their favorite dates was 2 years ago when Grant made Alexandra dinner at home for their anniversary. They listened to records and danced together.
Another favorite moment in their relationship was the proposal. Grant proposed on Alexandra’s 27th birthday at Observation Point in Zion National Park.
Alexandra loves Grant’s ability to bring her back down to earth, the sense of security and safety she feels with him, and the way he loves her.
Grant loves Alexandra for her quirkiness, her supportive and caring soul, and her reluctant yet open mindedness.
Alexandra and Grant chose the perfect way to end their Nashville engagement photography session – grilled cheese! We stopped at Everdine’s Grilled Cheese Co and they even had a gluten free option for Alexandra.
