If you were there for Amanda and Aaron’s courthouse wedding in Chicago, you would have seen these two outside the courthouse holding hands, joking, laughing, and just being present with each other.
Amanda and Aaron love hiking, biking, window shopping, movies, trying new pizza places, and cooking together. Most importantly, they enjoy spending every free moment together.
They describe themselves as outdoorsy, goofy, fun, loving, and family oriented.
Amanda and Aaron met on OkCupid. According to the dating site, they were a 99% match. The 1% difference the couple attributes to their differing fondness of cheese 😂 They guesstimate that they are probably a 99.5% match now 😉
Amanda loves Aaron’s sense of humor and how she’s always laughing or smiling with him. According to Amanda, “Aaron is my best friend and there is no one else I would rather spend my time with.”
Aaron says that Amanda is the most beautiful girl he has every seen, and he can’t envision a future without her. “She is the only person in the world who laughs at my jokes and gets my humor.”
Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado was the first national park Amanda and Aaron visited together. They love it so much that they got engaged there and plan on going back for their 1 year wedding anniversary.
Aaron proposed halfway through a 6 hour hike in the snowy Rocky Mountains. They stopped by a lake to take a picture. Aaron set up the camera to capture video, but told Amanda it was going to be a timed picture. After a couple of “technical errors,” Aaron dropped to one knee, in the snow, and proposed; all of it captured on video 😍
Amanda and Aaron’s elopement was the perfect day for them. They laughed together as they stood outside the courthouse waiting for the doors to open. We helped them create an elopement day that was special and truly reflected who they are as a couple.
Here’s what Amanda and Aaron had to say about their experience with us capturing their special day.
“Chelsey is an amazing photographer we are so happy we booked her! She made me and my now husband extremely comfortable from the very beginning. Chelsey was detailed oriented, very responsive with any questions I had, and we love the moments she captured, our wedding pictures are beautiful. I highly recommend you book Chelsey!”

After their courthouse wedding in Chicago, we explored the city together. Their day wouldn’t have been complete without a little bit of nature, so they made sure to stop at the Chicago Botanic Garden before heading to an intimate gathering with their family.
Congrats, Amanda & Aaron! I loved capturing this special day for you two!
