As Lansing Michigan wedding photographers, I had so much fun capturing Carson and Dalton’s wedding day. Six loved ones witnessed their intimate wedding ceremony as they exchanged vows in a garden at Hawk Hollow Golf Course.

Carson got ready at a nearby hotel with her maid of honor, Nicole. The rest the bridesmaids joined over Zoom, and it was so sweet hearing their reactions to seeing Carson in her wedding dress.

There was lots of laughter as Nicole helped Carson into her dress. She missed a button and then had to start all over again. Let’s just say that wedding dresses have a ton of buttons 😅

The journey getting to their wedding day wasn’t easy for Dalton and my cousin, Carson. Due to the current pandemic, and out of concern for their family and friends safety, they had to adjust their plans. When many would have given up, these two leaned on each other and made their day happen.

Carson and Dalton smiled as they walked down the aisle, and raised their clasped hands together. You could tell exactly what they were thinking. “We did it! We’re finally married!”

After their ceremony, honking from a nearby parking lot drew their attention. To their surprise, cars were lined up with signs as family and friends congratulated them. They even “got iced” and had to proceed to get down on one knee and chug one Smirnoff Ice each 😂

They toasted with champagne, cut their cake, and danced in the rain. These two were so in the moment on their day, and you could tell how happy they were to finally be married.

While I was taking photos of Carson, Dalton lounged on the grass and longingly watched the golfers. I’m pretty sure he would have joined if he could 😉 Love capturing little moments like this on wedding days.

Bonnie at Stardust Floral Designs did such a beautiful job with the flowers. Carson’s bridal bouquet was gorgeous!

The photo below is one of my favorites from Carson and Dalton’s wedding. Dalton is usually more of a smirker when it comes to getting his photos taken. So whenever you catch a genuine smile, I count that as a win! 😉
