As a wedding photographer in Chicago, I had so much fun with Reilly and Darien for their August engagement session at Cantigny Park and St. James Farm.

On their first date, Reilly and Darien went to a minor league hockey game. Darien’s sister was playing the national anthem in the band and his whole family was there to watch.

Reilly was at the game meeting Darien’s family for the first time, and then something unexpected happened. Reilly and Darien were suddenly on the kiss cam, and in order to avoid an awkward on screen moment, Reilly denied the kiss. Afterwards, Darien’s family proceeded to jokingly make fun of him over text messages 😅

Their first date was memorable, and hearing the story definitely makes you smile.

Reilly and Darien enjoy going to the driving range, binge-watching Netflix shows, eating out, and going for walks together. Their favorite dessert is ice cream so let’s just say they are my kind of people 😉 🍦

A favorite place that Reilly and Darien have visited together are the San Juan Islands in Washington. Another place they would love to travel to would be Hawaii.

One of their favorite dates was at a White Sox game. The person working the ticket booth that day was a regular at the golf course Reilly worked at. He upgraded their seats to right behind home plate. It was a beautiful summer night in July. Fireworks following the game made it even more memorable.

Reilly loves how supportive, goofy, and hardworking Darien is. Darien admires and loves Reilly for how patient she is with him, and how sweet she is.

These two have such a fun-loving nature and truly bring out the best in each other. I’m so excited to capture their wedding at Emerson Creek next year!
