As a Hoffman Estates newborn photographer, I enjoyed capturing Noah with his parents, Davis and Brittney. One of my favorite ages to photograph children is when they are newborns. They are only so little for such a short period of time. This makes it even more special to capture them.

Davis actually works with my husband so that’s how he heard about Chelsey Joy Photography. I enjoyed meeting Davis and Brittney. They are such a sweet couple and you can tell just how much they love their newest addition: Noah.

Davis and Brittney recently moved into their home over the summer, and already have the house painted and decorated. I especially love how they decorated Noah’s nursery.  The navy color on the walls and the travel theme go together great. It was the perfect backdrop for photos of Davis and Brittney with Noah.

After seeing photos of sleeping newborns, you may think that capturing them is effortless. It actually is the complete opposite. Newborn sessions usually last twice as long as other sessions so that there is enough time for diaper changes, feedings, and coaxing the newborn to sleep. And getting a newborn into an adorable pose while sleeping can take quite a bit of time.

It makes all of the hard work and patience worth it when you see the images. I love capturing the innocence and peacefulness of a newborn sleeping. I also enjoy capturing parents’ excitement as they hold their little one.

I love the photo below of Noah in his hat. I’m sure this looked adorable on the holiday card/birth announcement that Davis designed.
