I loved capturing Whitney and Scott’s Lake Ellyn Boathouse wedding in Glen Ellyn. This was my first time at the Lake Ellyn Boathouse, and it is such a unique and intimate venue. The venue overlooks a beautiful lake, and is surrounded by a wooded area that makes for a beautiful location for photos. 

Photos of the bride and groom getting ready always turn out to be some of my favorite photos of the day. I love capturing the anticipation and quiet moments before the day unfolds. 

Whitney and Scott decided not to see each other until the ceremony. When Scott arrived at the Lake Ellyn Boathouse, Whitney hid behind her bridesmaids as an extra precaution so there was no chance he would catch a glimpse of her before the ceremony. It was such a sweet and candid moment.

Whitney and Scott included their daughter, Addie, in their wedding day. She is adorable, and the photos below of this sweet family are so special.

Whitney and Scott even did a first dance with their daughter, Addie. This was definitely one of my favorite moments from this Lake Ellyn Boathouse wedding.

Whitney and Scott had barbecue at their wedding, and I am such a fan of that 😉 Uncle Bub’s BBQ definitely delivered. I also loved how the beautiful reception room was decorated. The succulent favors were the perfect touch. Whitney and Scott thank you so much for having me capture this special day in your lives. I’m looking forward to capturing more memories for you in the future.
