As a Geneva wedding photographer, I had so much capturing Kate and Tom’s engagement photos. Kate is my older sister, and I enjoyed photographing this special time for her and Tom.
Kate and Tom are getting married this summer at Acquaviva Winery in Maple Park. I have been there for wine tasting (their wine is amazing), and it is such a beautiful location surrounded by vineyards. Since I’ll be a member of the wedding party, I won’t be photographing my sister’s special day. I’m glad that I was able to capture her engagement photos though! 🙂
It was an extremely cold February day for this engagement session. The temperature was in the teens, and on top of that, it was windy! I was bundled up in my winter jacket, mittens, and duck boots, but I was still cold!
Kate and Tom toughed out the cold weather, and I’m so glad they did. The winter is such a beautiful time for photos that is often overlooked.
I always love it when couples personalize their photos. Tom brought his dog, Gracie, along to the session. I love the photo below of the three of them together.
I’ve been Leroy Oakes Forest Preserve in St. Charles before, but it was especially pretty this day since it had recently snowed. We also got lucky and there was a beautiful sunset.
Fun fact: I actually did Kate’s hair for these engagement photos. I am not a professional hairstylist by any means, but I think her waterfall braid turned out pretty well 😉
