As a Schaumburg baby photographer, I loved photographing Owen over the past year. He has such a sweet personality, and has grown up so much since the last time I took his photos when he was 5 months old. I always enjoy capturing the 1st year milestones. Little ones grow up and change a lot during the first 12 months.

Owen’s mom had the fun idea to tie a little tree at the top of this toy car. Owen was laughing and having a great time playing in the car. It definitely made for the perfect holiday photo 😉

The photo above is one of my favorites from Owen’s 1 year photo session. He was laughing, waving, and just hanging out while I took photos. 

Owen’s older brother Jackson joined in for a few photos. The two boys had a great time decorating this little Christmas tree.

It’s always a good idea to do a little activity during a photo session. Whether that be decorating a tree, running, tickling, reading a book, etc. Doing little things throughout the session helps keep things fun, and your little ones entertained 🙂

I’m sure many of you can relate. Sibling photos around this age are usually a bit of a challenge. Sometimes I wish you could see all of the fun craziness that goes on behind the camera. I’m glad I was able to get a quick photo of these two brothers. 

Owen got to finish out his photo session with a delicious cake. The cake was decorated to look like a a wooden stump and it came out so cute. Owen’s parents and I had a great time watching Owen eat his cake.
