As a Wheaton engagement photographer, I enjoyed photographing this adorable couple at Cantigny Park and St. James Farm in Wheaton.

Lauren and Sheldon are moving to Texas, and are planning to have their wedding there in the summer. I was honored that they chose me to take their engagement photos while they are still in town.

Lauren and Sheldon are such a great couple, and you can definitely tell how happy and in love they are in these photos.

The session started at Cantigny, which has a beautiful, formal garden landscape. Later, we went to St. James Farm. This location has historic barn buildings, white fences, and fields. It was great being able to combine both settings into this engagement session in Wheaton.

Lauren and Sheldon wanted to incorporate their two dogs into some of their engagement photos. It’s always nice to include pets, because it truly does add a personal feel to the photos. The photos of this couple and their dogs are some of my favorites from this engagement session.

As a Wheaton engagement photographer, I always try to schedule sessions later in the day during” golden hour,” which is an hour before sunset. The lighting at this time has a warm glow and is absolutely ideal for outdoor photos.

While we were walking around St. James Farm, I discovered this beautiful spot on a hill with prairie grass. I love how the sun is peaking through the trees behind the couple in the photos below.
