Hopkins Park in DeKalb was the perfect location for Danielle and Shane’s fall wedding. When I arrived at the venue, everything was all set up for their outdoor ceremony. Danielle and Shane had a beautiful ceremony with lots of laughs, some tears, and heartfelt vows. It may have been drizzling during the ceremony, but everyone’s focus was on them and the love they have for each other.
I absolutely loved listening to Danielle and Shane’s wedding vows. It added a personal touch to their wedding ceremony. I have to admit, even I started to tear up listening to them.
This was such a sweet and intimate moment between Danielle and her mom.
I asked all of the groomsmen and bridesmaids to make a funny face at the bride and groom. I love how you can see each of their individual personalities in this photo.
After we were done taking pictures, the ground was muddy and wet from the rain. To avoid getting Danielle’s dress muddy, Shane carried her all the way back to where the reception was going to be held. This was another sweet moment from their wedding day that I had to capture.
Mama’s Song by Carrie Underwood was the perfect song choice for the mother-daughter dance. I also thought it was great how the groom joined in on the dance.
When it was time for the garter toss, the skittles that Shane was holding went everywhere 😉
