As a Hoffman Estates maternity photographer, I enjoyed meeting up with Kelly and Gary for their maternity announcement photo session. I took photos of this wonderful couple last year, and was excited to help them capture this exciting time in their lives. Kelly and Gary are expecting their little one in July.

Kelly and Gary wanted the photos to be taken outside. It is often overlooked, but winter is such a beautiful time of year for outdoor photos. The day of the session was a little bit chilly, but Kelly and Gary braved the cold weather.

For this maternity session, we headed to Pottawotamie Park in St. Charles. It was a beautiful location for the session. The bridge was a great backdrop for this maternity session.

One thing that I can always expect with Kelly and Gary is a fun time, and lots of laughter. When their dog, Fritz, wasn’t in a photo, they bundled him up with a coat 🙂

Kelly is such a sweet person, and she always has creative ideas, which makes my job even more fun. She brought along some Mr. Potato Heads to use for a prop.

Kelly ordered this adorable pair of coffee mugs on Etsy. They were such a cute and unique prop to incorporate into this maternity announcement photo session.

I absolute love incorporating vintage items in photo sessions. I brought along a vintage crate, and lantern, which added a unique look to these maternity photos.
